Our Story

2002
Beginning of the Pêche Avenir adventure

The Beginnings

Since 2002, Pêche Avenir has forged a unique path from Reunion Island to the icy reaches of Antarctica, where no other French ship owner had yet dared to venture. Bold pioneers, we began with the prized Patagonian Toothfish, before mastering the challenges of the far South with specially designed vessels for these extreme conditions, like our Saint-André, the first Reunion flagship rated "Ice Class".

2013

The Expansion

In 2013, we made history by becoming the only French operators to explore the Antarctic coasts for the rare Mawson's toothfish, an exclusive catch fished with the strictest respect for ecosystems and international regulations (CCAMLR). Our expertise also extends to the delicate Rock Lobster from the Saint-Paul and Amsterdam islands, caught with the same high standards.
